GSL Education are seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to join a friendly and inclusive school in Chapeltown. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will develop and implement behaviour management plans, mentor pupils to build self-esteem and resilience, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create a positive and safe learning environment. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor: Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to support pupils’ behavioural and emotional needs. Assist in developing and implementing individual behaviour support plans. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupils. Encourage pupils to develop self-regulation, resilience, and positive social skills. Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor: Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one. A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
