Refrigeration Engineer

About the Role
Our client, a leading Facilities Management provider, is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of refrigeration systems across a portfolio of FM contracts.
This role is ideal for a skilled engineer with strong technical expertise and a proven track record of working within the FM sector.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance on a range of refrigeration systems, including cold rooms, display cabinets, and commercial refrigeration equipment.

Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs in line with industry standards and client SLAs.
*
Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and company policies.
*
Complete service reports, job sheets, and maintain accurate records.
*
Liaise with clients, helpdesk teams, and other engineers to ensure seamless service delivery.
*
Participate in an on-call rota to provide emergency support when required.
Skills & Experience
*
Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer within the FM sector.
*
Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, controls, and diagnostics.
*
Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
*
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*
Flexible, reliable, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
Qualifications & Certifications
*
F-Gas Category 1 (essential).
*
City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
*
Full UK Driving Licence.
*
Additional FM compliance training (e.g. CSCS, IPAF, PASMA) desirable.
