Office Co-Ordinator – Metal Waste Industry

We are currently partnering with a well-established, privately owned metal waste company based in Bridgend to recruit an Office Co-Ordinator. This is a newly created position designed to support the day-to-day operations of the office, with a focus on administration, licensing, insurance, pricing, and the sale of waste metal.
If you have a strong background in customer service, are solution-oriented, and eager to learn, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Experience in the waste metal sector would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Office Co-ordination
* Oversee and manage all waste-related procedures
* Provide effective problem-solving and decision-making support
* Liaise with clients to negotiate and confirm metal pricing
* Conduct final checks on office documentation
* Coordinate waste removal from site
* Organise health and safety procedures
* Generate monthly operational reports
* Perform purchase and sales ledger duties using Sage
* Provide administrative support to the Senior Manager and Directors
Purchasing & Selling
* Request and compare prices for materials
* Process and issue purchase orders
* Verify order acknowledgements
* Monitor goods receipt and inventory
* Maintain and manage internal systems
What We’re Looking For
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* A proactive and solution-focused mindset
* Experience with Sage accounting software (preferred)
* Background in the metal waste industry (advantageous but not essential)
