The CNC Setter role: The client is willing to consider either a CNC Miller or Turner Responsibilities: Set and operate CNC milling and CNC turning machines (3-, 4-, and 5-axis where applicable) Work from detailed engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to tight tolerances Perform in-process inspections using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, CMM) Adjust tooling, offsets, and machine parameters to ensure optimal cutting performance and part quality Machine free-issue parts such as castings, forgings, and fabrications, ensuring proper fixturing and process control Support continuous improvement by identifying process optimisations and tooling improvements Maintain clean, organised, and safe workstations in line with company and industry standards Collaborate with the team leader, quality engineers, and production planners to meet production deadlines Previous Experience: Strong background in either CNC milling or CNC turning Proficient in reading and interpreting technical/engineering drawings Experience working to tight tolerances and small batch work Online programming and ability to read G ...
