Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a Secondary School in Blackpool who are part of a Multi Academy Trust. The school are looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join their dedicated team, delivering English, Maths and Humanities to their Foundation Set pupils in Years 7 and 8.
The successful educator will be teaching students whose levels of reading, literacy and numeracy are typically at a primary level. These pupils benefit from high-quality, scaffolded teaching tailored to meet their individual needs. With the support of highly trained specialist assistants, your role will be to provide a nurturing, engaging and inclusive learning environment that promotes rapid progress and instils a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum in English, Maths and Humanities to Foundation Set pupils.
* Plan and teach high-quality, differentiated lessons with a focus on developing core literacy and numeracy skills.
* Work collaboratively with specialist assistants to support pupils' academic and personal development.
* Create an inclusive classroom culture where every child is encouraged and able to thrive.
* Track and assess pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and intervention strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
* A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong understanding of KS2/KS3 curriculum and pedagogy.
* Experience of, or a passion for, teaching pupils with additional learning needs or lower prior attainment.
* A commitment to quality first teaching, adaptive practice, and inclusive education.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A nurturing and resilient approach to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
