Supervisor (MRO) Leadership & expertise that make flying possible As a key part of our MRO operations, the Supervisor will lead & manage a diverse team to facilitate the flow of work & tactical delivery of parts through processes (from Launch to Distribution Centre Delivery) in support production plans. Our expertise cover the entire life cycle of our products from end-to-end: design, manufacturing, maintenance and repair. What will I be doing? Supervise the Gate 1 and Gate 2 teams, taking accountable for (and to elect & supervise) dedicated focals in your area to control key processes including 5S, Calibration, Maintenance, Health & Safety, Tooling and GPI's. Ensure effective people management and to support performance & operational management, training, time and behaviours. Ensure that works procedures and SOP's are adhered to at all times. Take accountability for Continuous Improvement initiatives including process mapping, kaizen events, 5S etc. Champion adherence to the Airworthiness regulations and ensure compliance via robust and accurate works procedure reviews.
What do I need to succeed in the role? Demonstrable experience of leading & managing a high performing team (ideally within an engineering environment). A working knowledge of lean principles, to Green Belt level, and how to deploy these effectively to leverage continuous improvement within a defined area of control. The ability to adopt an efficient 'hands-on' approach as appropriate. Capable of interpreting and communicating KPI's and developing appropriate actions Familiarity of 8D and QRQC tools would be advantageous.
