Are you an experienced systemic family therapist looking to provide high-quality clinical input within a friendly and experienced psychological therapies team in a national specialist service?
We are seeking a Family Therapist to offer a Family Therapy service to individuals, their families, and carers, incorporating highly specialist assessment and treatment. The service may be delivered within the unit or on a flexible outreach basis, following a Multidisciplinary Team Risk Assessment and based on clinical need.
The postholder will serve as a vital link between a young person's family or carers and the unit, providing advice and consultation on systemic issues to colleagues across the organization. They will also assist staff in understanding how family functioning influences a young person and will supervise and manage trainee and qualified staff as required.
The role involves ongoing service development, contributing to care models and policies for the unit. The postholder will work within the psychological therapies team and promote a psychologically informed environment, collaborating with other therapy colleagues and a multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Family Therapist with experience, passion, and flexibility to work at our Medium Secure adolescent inpatient unit. You should have a good understanding of young people presenting with severe mental health and behavioral difficulties. Experience in forensic, inpatient, or CAMHS services is desirable, along with adaptability to changing needs and pressures.
