As Interim Assistant Accountant you will join a busy and fast paced Finance team on a contract basis (approx. 6 months). Our client is based in the Campsie area of Derry/Londonderry. Competitive salary on offer and early Friday finish! The Role: ? Working with and supporting the Accounts team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of work in accordance with pre-determined metrics. ? Assist in the production of management accounts. ? Variance Analysis. ? Prepare and Post Journals. ? Month-end Balance sheet reconciliations. ? Bank Reconciliations ? Completion of FP&A Supplementals. ? Preparation of KPI's. ? Prepare month-end accruals in a timely manner per the month end checklist. ? Support the processing on Payroll, Pension Scheme Administration and submission of HMRC returns ? Adhere to internal policies and good practice across the teams. ? Establish effective relationships with stakeholders. ? Contribute to the overall success of the Accounts team, promoting and maintaining a positive work environment. ? Ad hoc projects as required. The Person ? Degree or equivalent in Accountancy or another relevant subject. ? Studying towards accounts technician or CIMA / ACCA ? 6 Mths Experience in a similar role. ? Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. ? Ability to communicate with a wide range of contacts from corporate and external vendors to manufacturing employees. ? Proactive problem solving and results oriented, able to work on own initiative. ? Strong reporting skills. ? Ability to work productively and flexibly while meeting deadlines. Desirable Criteria: ? Proven experience working in a fast-paced Finance function working to tight deadlines. ? Experience with SAP S4 HANA and other ERP Systems. ?
