About the role
Scrivens Property Department are looking for an Estates Surveyor on a part-time basis, flexible hours are available, to assist the Head of Property with chartered surveying duties relating to the management and maintenance of the business's operational portfolio and investment estate. Reporting directly into the Head of Property, the successful candidate will be based at Scrivens Head Office in Birmingham, with some expectation of occasional travel to fulfil the duties of the role.
An element of hybrid working may be possibly for the right candidate.
Responsibilities and duties:
* The researching, collocation, and initial analysis of transactional market rental evidence;
* Production and updating of Estimated Rental Values (ERV's);
* Negotiation and progression of lease renewals and rent reviews;
* Providing Landlord and Tenant advice on day-to-day property management issues;
* Communicating with key stakeholders including and not limited to, Landlord and Tenants to resolve disputes and achieve positive outcomes;
* Managing and instructing agents involved with the management and re-letting of the investment portfolio;
* Assisting with the identification and acquisition of new trading premises, together with the management and disposal of non-operational premises;
* Working as part of the team to deliver planned projects and works, as well as being able to respond to reactive maintenance issues as and when required;
* Other such duties as consummate with a Chartered Surveyor with Landlord and Tenant, Property Management and Lease Advisory experience.
Knowledge / Experience / Skills
* MRICS or ASSOCRICS (applicants working towards completion of their APC may be considered)
* A degree in Real Estate Management, Property Management and Real Estate or similar RICS accredited degree
* Able to work collaboratively as part of a team of professionals to deliver business objectives.
* Commercially aware, being analytical and using financial knowledge to bring an innovative approach to property solutions
* Good communicator, able to build effective relationships within the business, the external market and fellow property professionals
* Clean UK Driving Licence
