Job Description
We seek an epidemiologist to provide highly skilled epidemiological support with particular expertise in statistics and healthcare data science in a key role in the Stroke and Vascular Dementia Theme of the University’s British Heart Foundation (BHF) Centre of Research Excellence, recently funded by our fourth consecutive Research Excellence Award (REA) from the BHF to September 2029.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. The salary for this post is £49,559 - £60,907 per annum.
Your Skills And Attributes For Success
* Expertise in using statistical and programming software (e.g., R, SAS, STATA, Python).
* Track record of peer-reviewed publications demonstrating ability to conduct high-quality research.
* Excellent ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team within Edinburgh and with external collaborators.
* Excellent scientific writing skills (reports, papers, abstracts), with proficiency in presenting data and explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
