This is a rare and exciting opportunity for the right chef to join our award-winning family-run wedding venue as we take the leap from external catering partners to a fully in-house food offering.
Since opening three years ago, we've built a reputation for delivering unforgettable weddings and events. We now host 80+ weddings and 20+ private events each year, and from 2026/27 will proudly be offering an exclusive in-house catering service.
2026 will be a year of transition as a lot of our weddings have already booked an external caterer, but from 2027 the vast majority of our weddings will be in-house. Therefore the first year will focus on building and refining our menus, catering private events, evening food and breakfast menus to maximise revenue.
We're looking for a talented, grounded, and passionate chef who can help us shape this new chapter.
The Role
* Lead the development and launch of our in-house catering operation
* Design and refine seasonal, locally sourced, sustainable menus (feast-style dining, canapés, BBQs, breakfasts)
* Work directly with couples to bring their vision to life
* Operate solo in 2026 while building processes, with a small amount of weddings to cater (as majority have already booked their external caterers), but focusing on catering evening food and private events to maximise revenue, utilising contract staff where required
* Recruit, train, and grow your own kitchen team from 2027 onwards where the majority of weddings will be in-house
* Oversee the fit-out of our commercial kitchen (in terms of crockery, pots, pans, tools etc.) and ensure we're fully compliant as a food business
* Vision for the kitchen garden we plan to create over the winter
* Build out cost analysis and pricing of menus and work with local suppliers to build a locally sourced sustainable menu
About You
* Previous wedding catering experience is essential
* Strong leadership and organisational skills, without ego – we're a close-knit family-run team
* Experience in launching new offerings or working with a new business is a bonus
* Passionate about local, sustainable food with a flair for creative, crowd-pleasing menus
* Comfortable working independently and then scaling up to lead a team
The Offer
* Salary: £45,000
