Lead mechanical activity supporting critical aviation operations at RAF Shawbury.

The role
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising mechanical activity and providing technical support across aircraft storage, maintenance and preparation tasks.
* Supervising mechanical activity within the AMSU team to ensure safe and effective task delivery.
* Preparing a range of aircraft types for storage, sale or disposal.
* Carrying out and overseeing in‑storage maintenance across multiple aircraft platforms.
* Controlling and supporting the AMSU Quality Assurance and Safety programmes.
* Conducting internal audits and supporting Health and Safety compliance activities.
Work schedule:
* Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
* Friday: 08:00 – 15:00
Essential experience
* Experience working on fast jet aircraft.
* Experience in a supervisory role.
* Experience working on multiple aircraft types.
* Proven background in Quality Assurance and Health and Safety.
Qualifications
Formal aircraft engineering trade training with recognised certification.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
