About the practice
3 Mile Veterinary Centre, a GP‑accredited small animal practice located in Glasgow's south side. We have 5 consultation rooms, 2 theatres, a dedicated cat consult and are proud recipients of the ISFM Silver Award.
Our team consists of 9 veterinarians, 6 registered veterinary nurses, 1 practice clinical assistant and 3 receptionists. CPD is encouraged and funded – a supportive environment with a strong focus on work/life balance.
Position Overview
Veterinary Surgeon – Full‑time permanent, 40 hours per week. Responsible for routine medical and surgical care, occasional sole charge duties, and supported by the internal referral programme (Vet Oracle) covering soft tissue, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging and medicine.
Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive routine veterinary care to small animal patients.
* Perform routine and elective surgical procedures.
* Take occasional sole charge for the clinic.
* Collaborate with team and referral partners to provide specialist support.
* Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to practice learning.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified veterinary surgeon with experience in routine medical and surgical practice.
* Confidence with occasional sole charge responsibilities.
* Strong communication, teamwork and client‑care skills.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary up to £65,000 FTE, dependent on experience. Full entitlement to relocation support (to be discussed). Benefits include:
