About the practice
We are a small team who work as a unit to achieve the best outcomes for the patients in our care. You will be based at our practice in Basingstoke joining three experienced vets, an experienced nursing team and a support team of receptionists. We are ISFM accredited and a Silver-rated Cat Friendly small animal practice. We have dedicated cat and dog kennels, two consult rooms, an ops theatre, and modern equipment including Digital X-Ray, Idexx ProCyteOne, Catalyst, a brand new Ultrasound machine and dental radiography.
Responsibilities
* Provide medical and/or surgical care with a focus on case work up, with a bias in either medical or surgical pathways as appropriate.
* Collaborate as part of a close-knit team to achieve positive outcomes for patients.
* Manage a caseload that is primarily small animal (SA) with potential exposure to exotics depending on interest.
* Support the team to deliver high-quality patient care and client service.
* Participate in flexible rota patterns and work-life balance arrangements; full-time typically 40 hours with a Saturday morning rota and no OOH, with part-time options available.
* Work in a practice with a structured environment that supports personal and professional development and CPD activities.
Qualifications and requirements
* Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with eligibility to practice (UK).
* Medical or surgical bias and willingness to engage in case work up.
* CPD actively encouraged and supported; opportunities for development via the IVC Evidensia Academy and other resources.
* Visa sponsorship available; relocation support offered.
