With continued growth, we’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team. About the role As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our production lines running efficiently and safely. You’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of manufacturing equipment and site services. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to identify faults, take ownership, and see issues through to resolution. Shift Pattern Rotating 4-week pattern including days, nights, and weekends, with a full week off every month and regular blocks of time off throughout. You would receive 8.5 % shift allowance on top of base salary. This pattern offers a great balance of working days and extended rest periods. Responsibilities Carry out maintenance, repair, and servicing of production equipment and site services Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults Support installation and commissioning of new equipment Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS (IFS) Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards (BRC) Support continuous improvement and engineering projects Manage and monitor spare parts where required. Requirements Experience & Qualifications: Formal engineering qualification, preferable apprentice trained/time served in your chosen discipline. (Mechanical/Electrical) Skills: Strong Communication skills both written and verbal. Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision. Monitoring/prioritizing workload to achieve targets. High attention to detail. Pragmatic measured approach to problem solving. Able to organize work to meet quality standards and deadlines. Being able to work as a team. Being able to work under pressure. Good knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Desirable skills or experience: Working Knowledge of Steam/Pressure systems advantageous but not essential. Any maintenance of food equipment experience would be advantageous but not essential. Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment.
