Overview
The role of a Band 5 Registered Nurse in Mental Health (Tryweryn Ward PICU) is to assist the Ward Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the ethos of the service supports patient care. The post-holder will take charge of day-to-day Clinical and Nurse Management of the ward in the absence of more senior staff. The post holder may cover for the Ward Manager on an occasional basis and should foster harmonious working relationships within the multidisciplinary team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Ward Manager in delivering the day-to-day running of the service and uphold the service ethos conducive to patient care.
* Take charge of day-to-day clinical and nurse management in the absence of more senior staff.
* Cover for the Ward Manager on an occasional basis.
* Foster harmonious working relationships within the multidisciplinary team.
* Supervise junior staff and be able to teach qualified and unqualified staff.
