Job Purpose
To carry out statutory LOLER inspections on a variety of lifting equipment. Inspections to be carried out thoroughly and to an excellent standard.
Key Tasks
* Insurance inspections—Attending sites, examining a wide variety of lifting equipment and issuing reports to clients.
* Condition surveys—Surveying existing plants to provide a report upon the incumbent service provider's service delivery, compliance with current Health & Safety Legislation, Disability Discrimination Act compliance and short/medium/long‑term comments in respect to lift cycle analysis of the plant.
* Provide an overview report of possible options for either refurbishment of existing installation or possible replacement with a new pre‑engineered modular design solution.
* Equipment audits—Carry out visual surveys of existing installations to "benchmark" the installation against our in‑house predetermined "quality" expectations and produce reports.
* Maintenance audits—Providing professional advice on the incumbent service provider as to their overall performance and service delivery and produce reports.
* Travelling independently to attend customer sites/premises as required.
* Maintaining an up‑to‑date knowledge of products and full range of accessories.
* Completing test certificates and associated paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
* Abide by Health & Safety regulations at all times.
* To work in a manner that is methodical, efficient, considerate and respectful to clients at all times – providing excellent customer service.
* Carry out other reasonable duties as deemed necessary by the Senior Associate.

Person Specification - Essential
* Qualified (or equivalent experience) to at least NVQ 3 – Lift Engineering.
* Proven experience of carrying out service/maintenance lift inspections.
* Experience of independently diagnosing / repairing a variety of lifts.
* Experience working autonomously in a customer facing role.
* Good written and spoken English.
* Excellent understanding of current Health & Safety procedures and standards applicable to the job role.
* Full UK Driving license.
