Overview
Senior Sales Administrator role at Barratt Redrow. This position supports the Sales Director and Sales Managers by performing all necessary administration to progress sales and contribute to the overall success of the business.
What you'll be doing
This broad field covers market research and land appraisal, developing promotional material, as well as telesales and face-to-face negotiation. The Sales team arranges visits, undertakes tours, prepares material, advises on features, agrees the sale and sees it through to completion. There’s also after-sales service. If you’re a friendly, outgoing individual with a real customer focus and you’re comfortable working in a targets-driven culture, you’ll find plenty to keep you busy and developing.
Reporting to the Sales Office Manager or Senior Sales Manager, you will contribute to the overall success of the business by performing all necessary administration to progress sales and thereby support the Sales Director and Sales Managers in their tasks.
You will be expected to:
* Ensure client extras are completed on time and with correct payment.
* Process reservations and support on-site staff in exchanges and completions, coordinating all necessary paperwork.
* Collate updates on Sales Inspections and New Home Tours to confirm settlements are occurring.
* Complete extensive list of weekly and monthly reports (e.g., competitor analysis, reservations; outstanding missives; legal completion statistics; data schedules; revenues; availability; releases; costs; deposits) and ensure reports are completed on time.
* Maintain and update enquiries database.
* Generate general letters/memos (e.g., pre-contract meeting letters, 28-day intention to complete letters, welcome letters).
* Liaise with Brokers, Solicitors and the Sales team to check that mortgage and legal processes are proceeding at the correct pace.
* Liaise with customers, suppliers and service providers to coordinate works and ensure a smooth workflow between departments and with Head Office.
* Perform general office administration tasks as required (faxing, filing, photocopying, fielding telephone calls).
* Process credit and debit card transactions or use of card data in compliance with PCI DSS; undertake appropriate training on PCI DSS at induction and ongoing as required.
What You’ll Need
* Experience of working in a secretarial/admin role in a busy, pressurised environment, ideally in Sales/Marketing.
* IT skills with intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
* Excellent telephone customer service skills and ability to handle difficult conversations (e.g., disgruntled customers).
* Professional, pleasant and proficient manner in dealing with internal and external customers.
* Self-disciplined with good time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume sales environment.
* Ability to multi-task and work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
* Team player, supportive of departmental colleagues.
