We have an exciting opportunity for a Reconciliations Team Manager to join our Investment Administration department. Reporting to the Platform Recs and Controls Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering initiatives designed to transform and elevate reconciliations and controls within Aegon.
The focus of activity within the Investment Administration department is on all aspects of reconciliation, money processing, dealing, income and tax reporting and all components pertaining to CASS, while ensuring all activities are completed in a timely and compliant manner, with best practice applied to all products and processes.
You will be responsible for leadership and management within the Investment Administration department within Digital Solutions, ensuring that client monies are reconciled, processed & reported in a timely, effective, and regulatory compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver operational performance ensuring all processes and functions operate at an appropriate level of business control and audit. This includes ensuring department meets all compliance and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the controls operating over core cash reconciliation processes to enable the delivery of robust/controlled services, reporting and MI.
Continuously review, develop and improve department processes/procedures. This may involve introducing new initiatives and ideas to current practices, in line with objectives and strategy.
The role requires interaction with key senior and executive stakeholders to ensure both client money requirements are met, and SIPP considered from a TCF/customer experience perspective.
Coach, manage and lead direct reports in line with our Strategy and Objectives
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Expert understanding of Reconciliation processes, both Cash and Assets
Strong grasp of CASS requirements
Leadership, People, Performance Management and Team working skills
Strategic planning skills – ability to develop operational plans for department with key performance indicators/objectives
Decision making and influencing skills– operational and strategic and capable of dealing with and influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels with confidence.
Ability to manage multiple processes and transactions acting decisively when required to anticipate and pre-empt issues
