Quantity Surveyor\nA national leading consultancy in Milton Keynes has an opening for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.\nWorking on a range of industry-leading schemes, they operate within a range of sectors, including education, healthcare, leisure, retail and residential. The majority of their workload is refurbishment, and they are most prominent in the retail sector\nLots of benefits:\n * £45-60,000\n * 27 days holiday plus bank holidays.\n * 6% pension\n * All expenses covered for work purposes\n * Hybrid working – 2-3 days office & home\n * 8.30 to 5 – again flexible – you can start earlier/ finish earlier if you prefer\n * Private health insurance and can add your family\n * Open plan office\n * Informal working environment\n * Trust people – manage your own workload\n * Casual dress\n * Regular social events\n * Plenty of room to progress\n * RICS support\nThe role - Quantity Surveyor\nYou will be joining a team of 25 and will enjoy working in a collaborative working environment in a modern, open-plan office.\nYou will focus on works for 1 large client undertaking refurbishment and fit-out works ranging from £2-15m, and alongside this, you will be looking after fit-out and refurbishment works for veterinary practices with values up to £1.8m\nOffice/ home based, out seeing clients roughly once a week.\nJob Objectives:\n * Establishing friendly, professional relationships with clients and be an extension of their team\n * Subcontractor tendering and reviewing costs.\n * Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.\n * Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow and ensuring that applications are made correctly and promptly.\n * Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.\n * Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.\nThe right person. Quantity Surveyor\nYou will either be an experienced Cost Manager, or a Quantity Surveyor.\nMain contractor or consultancy experience\nRefurbishment experience is key (walls, ceilings, floors, M & E)
