Job Title: Personal Assistant
Location: Shared 4-Bedroom House
Job Type: Part-Time (8 hours per week)
Contract Duration: Initial 6-month tenancy with the possibility of extension.
About the Client:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to support the founder of an innovative housing project. This project addresses the challenges faced by carers and nurses dealing with rising rent and living costs, by pairing them with individuals in need of light support within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care support, including prompts for medication management and adherence to prescribed routines.
* Assist with body doubling to promote focus and encourage productive activities.
* Help monitor dietary habits, ensuring balanced nutrition and encouraging healthy eating choices.
* Provide companionship during meals and assist with meal preparation, as needed.
* Support the client in daily living activities, fostering independence and confidence.
* Maintain a positive and uplifting atmosphere that enhances the client's emotional and mental well-being.
Qualifications:
* Experience in personal care or as a caregiver; relevant certifications are a plus.
* Mental Health First Aid
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with the client.
* A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a willingness to adapt to individual needs.
* Basic understanding of nutrition and healthy eating principles.
* Ability to work independently while also being a supportive presence.
