About the role:
Reporting to the CFO, the Associate Director Mission Area Finance provides financial guidance from business capture/proposal development, through contract setup to delivery. The role involves shaping strategy, driving growth, ensuring financial performance, and building a high-performance finance team.
Partnering with the existing Associate Director and the Finance Leadership Team, you will bring leadership, industry knowledge, and a passion for business excellence in a complex environment.
Skills and Experience
* Strong record in strategic and commercial financial management.
* Multiple years of relevant experience.
* University or advanced degree in a related field.
* Strong business acumen.
* Experience in process and data-driven organizations.
* Experience implementing new processes and policies to support strategies.
* Proven leadership in finance functions or business areas.
* Experience working across different business environments, including growth, consolidation, and turnaround.
* Experience in complex, matrix organizations.

Responsibilities
* Provide financial insight and risk analysis to support business decisions.
* Lead financial management for a complex portfolio, including planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Manage processes like Estimates at Complete, Customer Reporting, and Earned Value Management.
* Develop the Mission Area's annual and long-range plans.
* Communicate financial information to stakeholders and leadership.
* Support cost strategies for competitive procurement.
* Promote a high-performance culture aligned with strategic goals.
* Manage and develop a team of financial professionals.
* Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
