About the role
1:1 Tutor
Location: Huyton
Pay: £30 per hour (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Part-time or Full-time, long-term
Vision for Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and qualified 1:1 Tutor to support secondary SEND students in the Huyton and surrounding area who require further assistance accessing education. This is a rewarding opportunity for tutors who can be flexible and who can tailor Maths and English lessons to meet individual needs, whilst working toward students achieving their goals. Sessions may take place in a variety of settings which means you must be able to travel. Whilst part time, there is an opportunity for increased hours for the right 1:1 Tutor.
Requirements:
1. A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, TEFL, TESOL, BA Ed etc.)
2. Experience working with SEND pupils
3. Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum
4. Commitment to regular, scheduled tutoring sessions
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. A proactive, flexible, and learner-centred teaching style
