Vision for Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking Primary School in Folkestone to recruit an inspirational and experienced Head of EYFS. This is a full-time leadership position with a 2.5-day teaching commitment, starting as soon as possible due to the promotion of the current Head of EYFS.
The Role
As Head of EYFS, you will lead the Early Years Foundation Stage team, driving excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment. You will ensure that every child receives the highest quality start to their educational journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious EYFS leader or an experienced Early Years teacher ready to take the next step into leadership.
Responsibilities
Lead and inspire the EYFS team to deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality learning experiences.
Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and continuous improvement within EYFS.
Model outstanding teaching and learning through your own classroom practice (2.5 days per week).
Collaborate with senior leaders to align EYFS provision with whole-school priorities.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
Have substantial experience teaching within the EYFS.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education.
Be committed to driving continuous improvement and maintaining high expectations.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
