As a Senior IT Project Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering hands-on technical work as part of infrastructure and onboarding projects
* Building, configuring, and installing hardware (servers, switches, firewalls, workstations)
* Installing and migrating Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online and Teams
* Assisting in setting up VLANs, VPNs, and site-to-site connections
* Supporting the installation and configuration of phone systems, CCTV, access control, and intercom systems
* Using hand tools (e.g., drills) confidently for mounting equipment and running cables
* Conducting site surveys and contributing to project planning
* Working to deadlines and quality standards set by the Project Lead
* Documenting work clearly for handover to support teams or clients
* Providing post-project support as needed
* Maintaining a tidy, safe working environment on-site
The ideal candidate will have:
* At least 3 years of experience in IT support or infrastructure roles, ideally with project work
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows Server (install, AD, DNS, DHCP), and Networking (routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs)
* Comfortable working on ladders, using drills, and managing cable runs
* Good communication skills and a client-facing manner
* Able to follow project plans and take initiative on-site
* Full UK driving license and transport
Desirable skills include:
* Experience in MSP environments
* Exposure to CCTV, access control, or VoIP systems
* Familiarity with Hyper-V or VMware
* PowerShell scripting experience
* Relevant certifications (Microsoft M365/Azure, CompTIA, Cisco)
