Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly and supportive team at West Moors Village Surgery. This opportunity has arisen following the restructure of our Frailty and Nursing team. Ideally we would expect candidates to have experience as a HCA, although not necessarily in a frailty role, as more specific training can be provided. The focus of the role is ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care to our patient population.
Salary will be dependent on experience and will be discussed at interview. This is a new role for the practice, and while the hours may be subject to change to suit the needs of the role, the total hours of 18hrs per week will not change.
Working Pattern: Part-time, Permanent, 18 hrs per week.
Hours:
* Monday: 09:00 – 13:30
* Tuesday: 09:00 – 13:30
* Wednesday: Day off
* Thursday: 09:00 – 13:30
* Friday: 09:00 – 13:30

The HCA role involves a variety of duties including:
* Phlebotomy (venepuncture)
* Vaccinations
* ECG
* Blood pressure checks
* Urinalysis
* Long‑term condition checks
* Health checks
* Wound care
The fundamental part of the HCA Frailty role is to meet the primary care needs of an identified group of people identified as frail and needing further support in the community.
