Our core purpose is “Serving our customers, communities and planet a little better every day.” We act responsibly and sustainably, supporting community initiatives like the Tesco Community Fund, partnerships with Children’s Health Foundation, FoodCloud, and our Stronger Starts program. To date, we have supported over 21,000 community groups, raised over €7.5 million for medical equipment, and provided nearly 15 million meals to those in food insecurity.
Since 1997, Tesco has operated in Ireland with 163 stores and over 13,000 employees, supporting approximately 45,000 jobs.
