I am recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to join a major infrastructure project based in Cumbria. This is a key role supporting the delivery teams to ensure all works are carried out in line with environmental legislation, project standards and client expectations. Responsibilities include * Supporting the delivery teams with environmental compliance across all work fronts * Preparing and implementing environmental management plans * Carrying out site inspections and audits, identifying any risks and ensuring corrective actions are implemented * Managing environmental reporting and monitoring requirements * Liaising with project teams, subcontractors and regulators * Supporting carbon reduction, waste management and sustainability initiatives * Leading toolbox talks and providing guidance to site teams on best practice * Ensuring documentation, permits and consents are up to date and in line with requirements Requirements * Experience working as an Environmental Advisor on major infrastructure or construction projects * Good working knowledge of environmental legislation and requirements * Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels * Ability to work across multiple work fronts in a fast paced environment * Ideally holding an environmental or sustainability related qualification This is a full time, site based position and candidates must be able to work in Cumbria.
