Aerospace Quality Engineer

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00 (30-minute unpaid lunch) Friday: 07:30 – 12:30
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Engineer to join our growing team. This is a critical role within the business, responsible for maintaining compliance with aerospace quality standards and driving continuous improvement across our operations.
You will play a key part in ensuring products and processes meet stringent aerospace and customer requirements, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and enhance overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform internal audits of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.
* Investigate and resolve customer rejections, implementing effective and sustainable corrective actions.
* Conduct root cause analysis and manage corrective actions arising from audits, non-conformances, and quality issues.
* Manage internal non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve issues.
* Support and drive quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve operational performance.
Skills & Experience
* Proven engineering experience, ideally within an aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
* Strong working knowledge of aerospace quality standards, including AS9100 and AS9102.
* Experience conducting internal audits and applying structured root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and work effectively across departments.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
