Who You Are As a dedicated Social Worker specializing in Safeguarding & Support, you are committed to protecting children from harm and promoting their welfare in accordance with legislative frameworks such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004. You possess a Social Work Degree, are registered with SWE, and are committed to continuing professional development. You have a deep understanding of child development and family dynamics and bring experience from working in social care settings and with partner agencies. What the job involves You will be responsible for carrying a caseload to meet the needs of the Directorate, assessing the needs of children and families, undertaking preventative work, and managing risks. Your role includes promoting effective planning for children under supervision or adoption proceedings, maintaining accurate case files, producing concise reports, and ensuring the well-being of looked-after children. You will actively engage with foster carers and other professionals, contribute to the development of team members, and participate in training to keep abreast of the latest in social work practice.
