Role overview:
Security Officers are responsible for supporting the Supervisor in maintaining a safe working environment and preventing loss or damage to company property.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all security policies are complied with and enforced.
* Regularly patrol the site to prevent unauthorised access and protect company property.
* Adhere to all company policies and health and safety guidelines.
* Search staff in accordance with current procedures and policies.
* Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
* Perform other reasonable activities as required by the business.
* Ensure staff, contractors, and visitors are booked in correctly.
* Manage the booking in/out of equipment.
* Book supplier vehicles and ensure they are sealed on arrival and departure.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience working in health and safety requirements.
* Basic computer literacy skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
* Teamwork and supportive attitude.
* Effective communication skills.
* Respond quickly and positively to issues in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Experience in the security industry is desirable.
* Knowledge of common law powers related to detaining potential offenders is desirable.
