Cairn is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key functions that support the Finance Departments objectives and KPIs. Location: We have offices in Edinburgh, Bellshill, Inverness, Thurso & Irvine (with Hybrid Working)
Salary
Salary: The salary for this post is £32,914 per annum rising to £34,647 on successful completion of 6-month probationary period. Salary Note: All salaries at Cairn are under a standard benchmarking review and could be subject to change in April 2026
Work pattern
Work pattern: Full-time (34.5 hours per week), 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the Sales Ledger debtors monthly and highlight any issues in line with financial standards and KPI’s
* Raise invoices in relation to Rechargeable Repairs
* Daily bank postings and monthly reconciliations of all Cairn bank accounts
* Daily reconciliations for AllPay control and rent suspense accounts
* Rent control reconciliations
* Manage the prepaid cards portal, posting of all transactions and monthly reconciliations
* Reconcile supplier statements and deal with any supplier queries
* Suggest and implement streamlining and improvement initiatives for the finance team
* Provide cover during holiday/sick leave for other Finance Assistants to ensure there is no break in services provided during absences, planned or otherwise.
