Childcare / Afterschool Club Deputy Manager £14.00 - £18.50 per hour | Level 3 Childcare Qualification Required Term Time Only or Year-Round Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and enthusiastic Childcare Deputy Manager to join a thriving before and after-school childcare provision. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking to take on a leadership position within a fun, engaging, and child-focused environment. Working closely with the Club Manager, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the club, support staff, and create a safe and stimulating setting where children can relax, play, and thrive outside of the school day. Whether you're looking for a term-time only position or would prefer to work additional hours during the school holidays, this role offers flexibility and excellent opportunities for professional development. Hours Available Term Time Only 18.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 2:45pm – 6:30pm Year-Round Option Term-time hours as above 8–8.5 hour shifts during school holidays Working hours between 8:15am – 5:45pm What We're Looking For Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification Previous experience working within a childcare, wraparound care, afterschool club, nursery, or school setting Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to support and motivate colleagues Experience working with children in a group setting What's On Offer £14.00 - £18.50 per hour Term-time only or year-round working options Training and development opportunities Discounted childcare Sick pay scheme Wellbeing programme Benefits and rewards portal Company pension scheme Regular team events Supportive and friendly working environment Key Responsibilities Support the Club Manager with the day-to-day running of the club Help lead a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children Plan and deliver fun activities, games, and experiences Build positive relationships with children, parents, schools, and staff Support staff supervision and daily organisation Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and club policies are followed Assist with administration, record keeping, and operational tasks Step into leadership responsibilities when required Reference: WILL226611/JG INDCHI
