Job Summary
Join Evolve Psychology at our Exeter Clinic as a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner (Occupational Therapist). This hybrid role combines clinic-based and remote work, full- or part-time (minimum three days per week). You will deliver high-quality autism and ADHD assessments via NHS contracts and private pathways, using evidence-based tools and a multidisciplinary approach.
Job Details
Salary: £30,000–£55,000 per year (dependent on experience). Contract: Permanent. Working pattern: Full‑time or part‑time. Location: 1 Emperor Way, Exeter Business Park, Exeter, EX1 3QS.
Responsibilities
* Conduct face‑to‑face structured observations and remote developmental history interviews.
* Participate in multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions, supported by senior clinicians.
* Produce accurate, evidence‑based clinical reports and give compassionate feedback to families.
* Meet service KPIs and manage caseload efficiently.
* Deliver clinical supervision where applicable.
* Travel to the Exeter clinic for face‑to‑face assessments (hybrid role).
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 1 year of professional registration with HCPC, NMC, GMC or Social Work England (e.g., Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Nurse).
* Minimum 1 year post‑registration experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people.
* Strong understanding of differential diagnosis and DSM‑5 criteria for autism and ADHD.
* Trained and experienced with diagnostic tools such as ADOS‑2, ADI‑R.
* Effective time‑management, caseload organisation, and ability to meet clinical deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing clinical reports and interacting with families.
