landscape architects, landscape planners, ecological consultants, and tree surveyors, offering integrated services across landscape and ecological design.
Their core focus lies in delivering landscape design and ecologicalmissions for a range of clients, particularly in education, the public sector, and property development. They are known for crafting solutions that balance aesthetic, functional, and environmental considerations—ensuring that development projects are both visuallypelling and ecologically responsible. They place high value on their environmental ethos, working only with clients that wish to conserve and cooperate.
Your new role
They are looking for a motivated Assistant Ecologist to join the growing ecology team. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological assessments and helping drive productivity across the team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in Ecology. You'll be joining a current ecological team of 14, as part of a wider team of 30, all of which contribute to their collaborative and supportive culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support ecological assessments, including PEA, BNG, and protected species surveys.
2. Collaborate with landscape architects and arboricultural consultants.
3. Help manage project delivery and ensure timely output.
4. Participate in site work primarily across the Southeast.
5. Engage with clients to deliver value-driven ecological solutions.
6. Technical report writing for submission to the planning authorities.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Some ecological survey experience and ideally, consultancy experience.
8. Membership with CIEEM
9. GIS skills are beneficial but not essential.
10. Strongmunication and collaboration skills.
11. Full UK driving license and car
12. Protected Species Licenses are desirable
13. FISC certification is desirable
