Are you passionate about customer care and delivering Healthcare services? We are looking for team members who are passionate about Healthcare, eager to learn new skills, and help deliver our earwax removal service to the local community.
About the role
You will undergo specialist training to understand the ear wax removal process. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, verifying their details, completing an ear health questionnaire, examining ears with a camera, and using micro-suction equipment to gently remove ear wax to improve hearing.
Additionally, you will complete our healthcare training programme to advise customers on healthcare needs and will:
1. Greet customers and verify their details
2. Manage appointment bookings
3. Explain the earwax removal procedure
4. Remove earwax following current guidelines
5. Record accurate medical notes
6. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and health and safety standards
7. Order and maintain stock
8. Collaborate with healthcare professionals like audiologists and GPs to escalate queries and signpost to other services
9. Participate in the Healthcare Advisor Programme and support future Pharmacy Services in-store
What you’ll need to have
These are the essential skills or experience needed:
1. Five GCSEs or equivalent
2. A passion for customer care and healthcare
3. Ability to deal kindly and sensitively with anxious or distressed people
4. Effective communication and listening skills
5. Energy and enthusiasm for delivering excellent patient care
6. Flexibility to respond to changing service needs
7. Comfortable using digital devices and technology
8. Willingness to learn and motivation to complete healthcare training (NVQ2 or equivalent)
