Called Rahul this afternoon after a conversation on LinkedIn and he said that they are in the market for an Assistant Estimator there to join the current Estimating team of him and a Senior Estimator, Harvinder Singh. He said that they had a Pre-Con Manager leave who was picking up some of the estimating duties as well. The role would be based in the office full-time with some wfh opportunities, 1-2 days per week. The role would be working with them, assisting with tenders and enquiries and putting tender packages together with prices. He said that they are looking for someone with a degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management, 1-2 years' in the industry and a desire to learn. They are pricing anything from £50k to £4m. Do refurb, fitout and new build now as they have started to branch out. They do a lot of automotive work for showrooms and dealerships and are on frameworks with ISS and Equans for MoJ works. They also do commercial offices and industrial. They use Conquest as an Estimating package, so any knowledge of that would be great. That can be taught though. There is parking at the office, and space for new heads. Send CVs through to Rahul and Shab and he said that interviews would probably be done with all three of them. Said that I would look at some options and will get back to him on it. Salary is from £30-35k per annum.
