Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Spray Painter/Prepper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying high-quality spray finishes to commercial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of painting techniques, safety procedures, and effective communication skills to ensure client satisfaction and project efficiency. Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
* Mix and match colours accurately according to project specifications
* Operate spray painting equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety standards
* Apply primer, base coats, and finishing coats with precision to achieve smooth, durable finishes
* Conduct quality inspections throughout the painting process to maintain high standards
* Assist in the setup and breakdown of work areas, ensuring a clean and organised workspace
* Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress and requirements
* Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Experience
* Proven experience in construction painting or commercial spray painting is preferred
* Familiarity with various spray painting techniques and surface preparation methods
* Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation between sites
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective teamwork and client interactions
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of safety regulations related to spray painting and surface preparation processes
