Overall Job Purpose:
Responsible for delivering, maintaining, and supporting technology across four Midlands Cluster schools and Central Support Services. Managing the ICT team, including their activities, performance, and development, to ensure technology effectively supports educational standards.
Key responsibilities:
1. Manage ICT Service staff across the four schools, overseeing deployment, skills, capacity, and development needs.
2. Support, maintain, and develop all IT hardware and software resources used by the schools.
3. Collaborate with school Senior Leadership Teams to support and implement their Digital Strategy.
4. Manage the Helpdesk, ensuring efficient handling of requests and balancing operational and strategic priorities.
5. Provide strategic guidance on technology development to support educational goals, designing and implementing new systems as needed.
6. Manage IT operational and capital budgets, following financial processes.
7. Maintain hardware and software asset registers, including licensing and renewal information, to inform budgeting and planning.
8. Develop and maintain system documentation, including network and server topography, for future development and disaster recovery.
9. Implement backup strategies to meet legal and operational requirements.
10. Develop and enforce IT policies as needed.
