About Our Client
Leading Financial Services organisation based in Bromley - this role will be based 2 days in the office and 3 from home
Job Description
Key Responsibilities will include:Financial Accounting
3. Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities.
4. Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation, intangibles, leases and intercompany transactions.
5. Complete key reconciliations across bank, balance sheet and P&L.
Financial Operations
6. Support AP and operational finance, including invoice coding, payment runs and expenses.
7. Handle internal and external finance queries.
Regulatory & Reporting
8. Assist with VAT, PSA, Pension Relief at Source and other recurring regulatory submissions.
9. Support quarterly and IFRS‑related reporting cycles.
Controls & Process Improvement
10. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure documentation standards are met.
11. Identify improvements, streamline manual processes and support automation initiatives.
Team Support
12. Coach and guide junior finance team members and help strengthen team structure and confidence.
The Successful Applicant
My Client is looking for someone with the following experience and attributes:
13. Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
14. Strong experience in month‑end accounting and reconciliations.
15. Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups; automation a plus).
16. Background in financial accounting or financial control.
17. Financial Services Experience / Experience of working in a regulated environment would be highly beneficial
18. Immediate Availability.
19. Calm, structured, collaborative and hands‑on, with a pragmatic and delivery‑focused approach.
What's on Offer
