The role
Salary: £35,000 - 38,000 per year Requirements: We are highly skilled in SQL, with exceptional database knowledge as the primary technical requirement for this role. We have high proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Excel or Google Sheets, including advanced data manipulation, validation, and complex formula creation. We have strong creative problem-solving skills and can resolve entirely new, undocumented issues without relying on a playbook. We maintain an uncompromising attention to detail and understand that precision and accuracy are critical in live customer environments. We communicate professionally and approachably when engaging directly with users and clients. We have experience debugging web applications built with PHP. We have knowledge of Vue 3 and the Composition API. We can create pull requests to resolve bugs effectively and write or maintain unit tests for robust code. We are familiar with Jira and Agile development methodologies. We hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent experience. We have experience with virtualisation technologies such as Docker. We have prior customer service experience. Responsibilities: We investigate and resolve complex, novel issues in the current production version of our applications. We diagnose underlying data issues and ensure system integrity through deep database investigation. We implement quality-of-life improvements and UI/UX enhancements. We work closely with clients to gather requirements when needed. We process varied and occasionally unorganised client data inputs and transform them into structured files or scripts for seamless system import. We occasionally assist with 2nd line support tasks as part of the wider team effort. We support live customers with precision and accuracy. We collaborate at the intersection of our customer-facing support team and our in-house development team.
