We are seeking to appoint afull-time Intervenorto join our experienced and supportive team, working with pupils who havemulti-sensory impairments and learning disabilities. This is a vital and rewarding role, working in partnership with teachers to support students with complex needs to access learning, communicate effectively, and thrive in a nurturing school environment.

Essential Criteria:
Candidates must be:
1. Qualified or willing to work towards aSupport Work in Schools (SWIS) Level 2qualification.
2. Qualified or willing to work towards anIntervenor qualification.
3. Able to act as the“eyes and ears”of pupils with multi-sensory needs—relaying spoken, non-verbal, environmental, and body language cues.
4. Enthusiastic and committed to contributing to individual learning programmes under the guidance of the teacher.
5. Aligned with the school’s ethos, values, and safeguarding priorities.
6. Willing to undertake medical training if required (e.g. first aid, medication administration, tracheostomy suctioning, enteral feeding, oxygen administration, ventilation).
7. Open to training in Autism and behaviour support (e.g. Team Teach).
8. Able to work independently, using initiative to support students with emotional and/or physical challenges.
9. Committed to ongoing self-evaluation and professional development.
10. Flexible and able to adapt across a range of school settings.
Experienced in working with students who have special educational needs (SEN).
Desirable (Training can be provided):
11. Team Teach, Moving & Handling, First Aid at Work, or MIDAS (minibus driving).
12. Experience in using a recognised form of sign language (e.g. Makaton, BSL).
