Role Overview As Head of Health and Social Care, you will: * Lead and manage the Health and Social Care department, overseeing curriculum planning and delivery to KS5 * Support and motivate teaching staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning * Monitor student progress and implement strategies to ensure excellent outcomes * Promote student engagement through enrichment activities and real-world learning experiences * Manage departmental resources, budget, and development initiatives * Contribute to whole-school leadership and improvement priorities Person Specification We are looking for a candidate who: * Holds a degree in Health and Social Care or a related subject * Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or PGCE) * Has experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS4 and KS5 * Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills * Is passionate about supporting student success and wellbeing * Works collaboratively and contributes positively to school life Salary and Benefits The salary will be paid according to the Main or Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS), with an additional Leadership TLR allowance for this leadership role.
