About the Role
Reporting to the Cluster Director of Finance for JA Scotland, you will assist in the day-to-day financial operations at JA Mar Hall. You'll assist in overseeing the hotel's financial controls, reporting, and compliance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial processes. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will provide analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring invoices are processed, approved, and reconciled accurately on a timely basis
* Managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely payments in line with agreed terms
* Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports
* Monitoring departmental budgets and providing analysis on variances or overspend
* Supporting payroll management, including weekly reporting and review
* Conducting regular audits of revenue and cost controls to maximise profitability, chasing invoices where necessary
* Assisting with bank reconciliations and petty cash
* Ad hoc duties as required
About You
You are a motivated, organised finance professional who enjoys being close to the operation and collaborating with diverse teams. You have commercial awareness and take pride in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and integrity in every process.
You'll bring:
* Previous experience in a finance assistant role within hospitality or a similar multi-revenue environment
* Strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Proficiency in accounting systems such as Xero and Dext (or similar platforms)
* A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Clear communication skills and the confidence to engage with all levels of the business
* A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
