The Journal Publishing Editor will play a key role in supporting strategic development initiatives, commissioning activity, and product development plans including:
* Developing new STEM-related research journals through journal acquisition and new launches.
* Managing and growing an existing journal’s portfolio to improve and maintain market relevance, including identifying new opportunities for growth and developing and helping to implement new publishing models.
* Identifying high-value topics for special issues and commissioning guest editors to coordinate paper invitations/call-for-papers.
* Working towards portfolio objectives including content growth, articles, market share and relative impact and performance.
* Representing the company at industry events, conferences etc.
Thesuccessfulpersonwillideallyhaveabio-sciencedegree(orequivalent),withprovenexperienceinjournalpublishing/editorialroles,preferablywithinSTEMpublishing,withtheabilitytomanagemultipleprojectssimultaneously.Youwillhavetheabilitytomeetdeadlines,possessapro-active,confidentapproach,andstrongcommunication/organisationalskills,andaclearinterestindevelopingyourcareerwithinscientificpublishing.
