About the role:
As a key member of our finance team of qualified and part-qualified accountants, you will be focused on providing the highest standards of client care and an efficient and accurate service to our colleagues and other stakeholders. Each day will bring different opportunities so you should be prepared to get involved in producing information for the month end KPIs, journal preparation and entry, financial data analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns and assisting with the year-end accounts.
About You
* The ideal Assistant Accountant will have a good level of experience in a similar role within a small to medium sized company, ideally in a professional services environment.
* You will work proactively and as part of a team; with strong communication skills and an ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks effectively to ensure team deadlines are met.
* You will be skilled in the use of Excel to an intermediate or advanced standard and some knowledge of SQL or Power BI will be helpful.
Applications are welcome from candidates who have completed the AAT (or equivalent) and who are currently studying or looking to study towards a recognised accounting qualification, whether CIMA or ACCA. Personal and professional development of our co-owners is a key priority and there will be scope to grow within this role.
