The Role
This position offers the chance to combine recruitment expertise with meaningful social impact.
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will focus on building and managing relationships with local employers while supporting individuals with previous convictions into sustainable employment. Acting as the link between candidate and client, you will deliver a recruitment service that meets business needs while creating genuine opportunities for those facing barriers to work.
This is a role that goes beyond traditional recruitment. It requires commercial awareness, resilience and strong interpersonal skills to open doors, influence hiring decisions and create long-term employment outcomes.
Working closely with employers and internal teams, you will help businesses access reliable, job-ready talent while supporting candidates to move forward in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers to identify recruitment needs and secure job opportunities.
Proactively engage new clients through business development, networking and local outreach.
Manage employer accounts to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Promote live vacancies internally, ensuring clear communication with delivery teams.
Support candidates through the recruitment process, including interview preparation and coordination.
Collaborate with internal teams to align training and candidate readiness with employer requirements.
Maintain accurate records in line with compliance and data protection standards.About You
Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Background in recruitment, sales or employer engagement.
Comfortable working towards targets in a performance-driven environment.
Awareness of inclusive recruitment and the challenges faced by disadvantaged jobseekers.
Strong influencing skills with a collaborative approach.
Well organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities.
Understanding of the local labour market.
Confident using IT systems, including email and spreadsheets.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be a vehicle driver with access to your own vehicle. You will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
