Are you a practical, reliable individual with a passion for creating a safe and comfortable environment? We’re looking for a Caretaker to join our dedicated team at Karenza Care Home. St.Agnes.
In this essential role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the care home’s facilities, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our residents and staff. From basic repairs and routine maintenance to health and safety checks, your work will help create a welcoming and secure space for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting daily checks to ensure the premises are clean, safe, and fully operational
* Carrying out minor repairs, general maintenance, and basic gardening
* Managing waste disposal and supporting infection control measures
* Liaising with contractors and suppliers when necessary
* Responding promptly to maintenance issues and supporting emergency procedures
* Basic Knowledge of Computers and you will be required to input audits on Teams of the Health and Safety Audits.

Essential Skills
What We’re Looking For:
* Practical, hands-on skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
* Friendly, respectful attitude towards elderly residents
* Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role is desirable
* Basic knowledge of health & safety procedures and manual handling
* Full Clean Driving Licence with Vehicle Business Insurance.
