Job Description
Quality Inspector Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a trusted precision engineering company based in Andover. This is a full-time permanent position. Responsibilities as a Quality Inspector:
o Review and verify material certification documents to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable standards (including AS9100 and ISO 9001).
o Prepare and review ISIR and in accordance with customer and industry requirements.
o Accurately document inspection findings, including certificate conformity, observations, and any discrepancies.
o Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and material standards to validate documentation.
o Offline program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to carry out dimensional inspections of components.
o Use a range of additional inspection tools and equipment.
o Report non-conformances promptly and address quality issues.
o Maintain accurate and traceable inspection records in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
o Participate in audits, internal reviews, and relevant training to uphold and improve inspection standards.
Requirements:
o Proven experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
o Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
o Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
o Proficient in programming and operating CMM equipment.
o Experience with FAIR and ISIR preparation.
o Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments.
o Excellent attention to detail.
o Lean or Six Sigma awareness is desirable
The Quality Inspector role:
o Negotiable salary depending on experience
o Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 1pm
o 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
