Summary
We are looking for an engaging and passionate individual to join our well-established team supporting young people with housing-related needs. This is a part-time (17 hrs), permanent position based in the Pontypool area.
Overview
Where does the role fit in?
Hales House is a Generic scheme, providing supported accommodation to people aged 16 and over. This service provides housing related support to assist our clients to move into independent living.

Hales House is centered on the wants and needs of the people we support, and they are involved in how the scheme is run. The scheme is completely client-led and is viewed as their home.

You’ll also be working with incredible individuals, teaching them tenancy management skills, supporting them with qualifications, and providing any other support they may require.
Your Day Will Consist Of
* Leading each shift by overseeing the Scheme Support Officers.
* Engaging and interacting with our service users.
* Writing and following support plans with the individuals you support.
* Delivering workshops related to tenancy management and health and wellbeing.
* Liaising with external agencies.
* Addressing additional needs of the people we support.
Our motivation is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This role involves working with complex behaviors and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse, and offending behavior. You will work with diverse personalities and behaviors, so adaptability is essential.
Who We Are Looking For
Please demonstrate in your application how you:
* Have knowledge of housing-related support and benefit systems.
* Have good organization, IT, and record-keeping skills.
* Can work as part of a team and independently.
* Can handle difficult situations.
* Have good listening skills.
It would be preferable if you have a driving license & access to a vehicle, to facilitate attending appointments. This is not essential but advantageous.
Part of your role includes sleep-in shifts at the scheme, where you will be provided with a secluded area including a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. You will be paid an allowance of £51.11 for each sleep-in.

* The salary based on these hours is £11,979.03 (£26,072.00 FTE).
* The scheme operates 24/7, and you will work on a 6-week rolling rota including days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
